I'll quit tomorrow...or tomorrow..or today.

Started a suboxonee detox yesterday.  Been on methadone 60mg for 10 years, than got on suboxone 4mg to detox from that, not a great idea.  Tapered to 2mg for 3 months and now at 1mg fo past 2 days.Really starting to feel the effects, but I am really wanting to be clean.  I had 8 years abstinate of everything and never felt better or more alive. Tired of settling for less, now or never, but really need alot of support

My daughter's father took me to my first na meeting. He had 3 months clean. We were not married at the time he only cared about me. He got around 4 years in the program and went back out. He only drank for a while but eventually he went back to his drug of choice.  I stayed clean? Several years went by without much accountability for his using because he ran his fathers business, and they were very well off. Then the love of his life stepped up and said hello darling I can fix anything that hurts. And for the last 12 years he has chased crack cocain. Today he has a little over a year clean, he has been in and out of the rooms for over20 years but today he is clean and thats all that matters TODAY. not what he did or didn,t do yesterday. So my question is how do you want to live out the rest of your life? Clean and productive or in the gutter I have 24 years clean only because someone cared enough to reach out to me and show me some hope that I TOO can live without dope Fredom Through Recovery I'll save you a seat..love ya

Yup, I have been going to the AA meetings for over 25 years, mostly , except it is hard to feel honest and comfortable when I d not feel really sober and clean.  I know this is worth it, I can't believe that my disease has kidded me into the easier way al these wasted years, but I Am and Addict.  Thank you so much.
