Congrats Kolo13, day 5 was tough but better than day 4..they all get better. I am at 26 days and finally feel clear headed, got that at about day 14, so hang in there and remember your worth it.
You went through a craving earlier today and made it through, so you know you can do it. The more times you say no and fight through it, the easier it will get because your body/brain will become trained to do so. You've got to teach yourself new behavior patterns. Plus, you said it was a great feeling to get through it, you will feel like that again after this passes too. This morning, I woke up feeling good and clear headed and happy, without the desire to use oxycontin. You can have that too!
Thank you Cassie, It was a great feeling. And yet here I am, up in the middle of the night, desperately craving, and wondering how I'm going to keep doing this.
Hey, I read your post earlier and responded and i am really happy to read this one. Being able to look your wife in the eye and just feel good about yourself is far better than caving into your cravings. Now you know you can get through them, congrats!!
