How are you doing?
Stay on this site and post! You can do this and we are here for you!!
Unfortunately I live alone and my family lives a few hours away and can't always come to my rescue.
Thanks - makes me feel a bit less nervous if the other issue comes up.
Congrats on kicking it! That's really inspirational.
thanks for the advice! I'm pushing the fluids and nutrients through my system as quickly as I can. Went to the store today and got a lot of berries, fruits, and a few other things you suggested. Can't wait to take that bath now lol.
Thought I got through the worst of the anxiety before last night, but was wrong. Took me a good 8 hours of lying in bed to sleep, but I did sleep eventually. Feeling a bit better than I did yesterday in terms of energy and wanting to acknowledge the world.
Could you have your family hold the pills for you?
Just wanted to make sure it was not tramidol. Glad it works for you. hope you are feeling better
If you plan on taking norco for your other issue, I really hope that issue doesn't come up for another eight to nine days. While I don't use any substances anymore, I know people who are weekend warriors, occasional users and the way they stay away from withdrawal is they take pain meds or heroin outside of one week between uses. I'm in no way condoning this behavior and I am not doing that myself, but it works for them. I remember the days when I used to take pain meds every few days, then every other day, daily, and fast forward nine years and I was taking heroin in the amount equivalent to 800mg of oxycodone a day. My point is to just be careful because anyone can get addicted, drugs do not discriminate. If you have a horrible pain issue that comes along once a month and the only way to stay out of the hospital is to take a couple norco, that's what you have to do. It's all about quality of life and the least amount of the medicine to do the most effective job. Good luck and I wish you the best.
diclofenac for the chronic pain - been working ok so far... hoping it kicks in a little better eventually.
would prefer not to disclose it, about a year
I am wondering what non narcotic med you are taking? there are a few out there that will cause a horrible with drawl also..
What is the "other medical issue" and how long have you been taking Norco for that?
Hi & Welcome
Did you say you have only been on both those for 3 months??
The time frame of bouncing back differs in many. How old you are, how long you have been taking drugs both recreational or prescribed. How healthy your immune system is and how many meds you come off at once.
You sound like you know some about this because you mentioned the physical & mental. The physical will go bye pretty quick, it is the mental that takes some time.
I like to study all of this in a more Scientific way..All about the Map of the Brain and how all the wiring up stairs gets unbalanced. There is so so so much more to it. HOWEVER, if you have only been taking this for a short time then you should bounce back soon. (Lucky You)
Just make sure you stay Hydrated and Replenish the vit/min and Electrolytes that are knocked out some when we use. Be in-tune that you will have some Mental waves as your Brain tries to regroup again or fire back up.
Get some good vit/min too. Some vit/min work for relaxing you and relaxing the muscles and also get all the foods and vit/min that help draw out toxins. Then some vit/min will help with energy, but this ALL takes TIME!! With time comes PATIENCE..It is like taking layers of a onion little by little, you will feel so much better..SO right now Drink water and try adding lemon with a dash of seasalt once in a while. This helps you stay hydrated..Get some Protein Powder and try adding berries..Berries are a great antioxidant. Get some Epsom salt as it has Magnesium in it and it also helps draw out toxins as it relaxes the muscles. If you ache go lay under a big heating blanket. This helped me so much back in 2012 as I came off 3 meds and one was Methadone..The Dones love to hang on and the Bone aches are very well known from this drug.
The BIG thing we push to someone whom has become a Addict is aftercare..SUPPORT is so important. Since you do have those meds on you, maybe give them to someone you trust to hand them out when you really need one. It is very hard on us to have them in our own hands or around. I wish you all the best and stay on the POSITIVE side of Life..There is so much more to say, but this is enough for now.
Bless
