Talk about a milestone that is truly something to celebrate !!! I think alot of people have a hard time believing in long term sobriety .Lady you are the example that it can be done .It takes lots of work but It is so very possible ...Keep it up!!!

How sweet of you to put up a post..............I have come a long way with making friends here on MH,LOL.............Yea 25 years, It began with a single desire, sick and tired of being sick and tired..........I thought it was a moral issue That I was bad and that it couldn't be the dope. What I learned was it was a desease of addiction, and it began with the First One. A thousand never enough.
Recovery is about dis-covery of one's true self, an awsume journey, that ebbs and flows,Recovery is a WE thing, not a ME thing.You can't do this thing alone, all you need is one person in your corner pulling for you, helping to guide you through life on life's terms and you can do exactly what I've done.
    When I got clean, my struggle was to get 30 days behind me, It took me 3 tries @ 30 days each before I stuck and Stayed...............Surrender to win.........come in from the storm, there is a place for you in recovery whatever your STORY looks like.......Here and in the ROOMS people will reach out to you and help you do this thing, called LIFE without Dope,Pills,Alcohol,or any other mind or mood altering chemical. ..................My people loved me back to health and continue to do so. I still attend meetings, work a 12 step program,have a sponsor,work with new commers,keep my recovery fresh, and surrender on a daily basis because my desease is cunning,baffling and powerful and wants me dead..............TY Avisg for the post and those who responded............Blessed Be~..........Debra

You being here shows all of us that we can never let out guard down and the we always have to pay attention and mind the addict inside of us..
