Two Weeks Clean...

Well today is my 2 week mark,, YES!! It has been quite an experience, the battle wages within,,, This time has been full of emotion and physical struggles,, but these challenges have made me stronger. Will I relapse?? I sure hope not, I feel strong and confident and the further I get from that high, the more I forget how it felt, and the less I feel I need it.. The world is full of blessings that we as addicts don't see or feel while using,, I am starting to take comfort and happiness in all of those blessings, To all of the veterans out there,, Thank you for helping me realize that using is not the way to find happiness... And to all of you just starting this journey... Keep on going, yes the battle will rage inside of you for a while,, but one of my favorite things out of the bible (don't know where it is)  "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" some of us have to resist longer than others to have him flee,, but I believe that at some point he will give up and we will find our strength,,,

Wow! ! !   Do you see the love and support everyone is sending you,,I'ts wonderful to hit these milestones, but like avisg said " one day at a time" Keep doing what you've been doing and it you do have a bad day``~ ~ ~ look back at the day b4 and do the exact same thing. You are such a shinning star. Take care of you.

Thank you for your kind words.. my mind is healing faster than my body I think,, I have energy and a mindset to do things,, but it's hard to make them happen,, I make myself walk, play, work, and I feel better but it's hard to get going,,, the day that the urge to do these things comes will be a glorious day!!! I hope you are all having a good day...

Lisa:
CONGRATS on 2 weeks!  WOOHOO!!!! You just keep coming here for support and posting often and if you feel you could relapse seek therapy!  You are doing FABULOUS!  I think you'll be fine!  I agree, resist the devil because he wants you unhappy, but God, he loves you and wants you to find joy!

Hugs,
Janet
