old coke user with a snoring problem

i used cocaine for 10 years. . . I have three kids, and one on the way, and my snoring has recently gotten much worse.  I do drink, but I have also recently quit binge drinking and drinking before bed, and quit smoking. . . . it seems the more I quit, the worse my snoring gets.  It is affecting my marriage now (as I am up at this hour after being thrown out of bed) and I don't know what to do???  I wear the strips, and I am losing weight, but, as i said, it seems to be getting worse!  I am starting to feel like I would rather be high than deal with this. . please help me

You need to see a "Pulmonologist" ... which is a Dr. who specializes in breathing, lungs, etc ... I saw one because of my snoring. He ordered my sleep study to check for sleep apnea. I didn't have sleep apnea. Part of the testing includes keeping track of your %SpO2. (oxygen levels in your blood) My levels dropped to dangerous levels during the course of the night. I now have to have oxygen to sleep.

It would be worth getting checked out. Um.. and I still snore ..    Good Luck :)

Hello,
The only advice I can try and offer you is to see an ENT - Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialists, and/or your doctor so maybe he could check you for sleep apnea?   Maybe somebody else can offer some different suggestions, but please, being high is not the answer.  Hang in there Jacob :)
