Is it dangerous?

Hi all!
So, I'm pretty new to this forum.  I posted once before about the stupid tramadol addiction I managed to get myself into.  Basically, I've been using tramadol on and off for about a year.  I've quit a few times in between- the longest I ever quit was 2 months (which was this May-July).  In july I screwed up and started using again.  So, I've been at about 4-5 50mg pills a day since July 21st.  I've decided to taper, and figured out I can take just 3 a day with no problem.  My question is this:can I just quit cold turkey now?  It seems like tapering might just draw out the process.  So far today I took no pills.  It 4:42 EST and this has been the longest day of my life.  I feel okay (probably because tramadol has such a long half life) just really anxious, nervous and grouchy.  The fact it's 100 degrees where I live isn't helping (and I live in a cold place!!  stupid global warming).  So is it safe for me to just quit now?  How sick should I expect to be if I took about 4-5 pills a day for about 40 days?  Ugh.  I was my life back.  I'm so sick of this.

I would taper  but you are low enough to CT that you most likely not have sezuires
I would cut out one pill a week if tha proves to be to much you can even do 1/2 a pill a week .If you have any questions  feel free to PM me .

Yes, you could just go cold turkey. You will get very sick from withdrawels, but they should only last 4-7 days.
If you choose to taper of them, you could private message Avisg, she's great at taper schedules. Look for her name, it has alittle purple star next to it. I'll also send her a PM to get in touch with you. Good luck on which ever way you do this. It can be done. Keep posting.

hey there!  sorry, but i know nothing about tram.  i'm in NY also (what part are you from?) and it sure is a hot one today!  anyway, hope things get better for you.
