Hi all, congrats to all of you! I am doing well, been off methadone for 16 months, it was he11 for quite a few months but I never had an urge to go back on it, but just wanted to feel better, so I rode it out, the antidepressants saved me! I have been off oxycodone for 14 months ( just 20mgs/day ), as well as Zoplicone, Geodon and Nabilone ( which I took for 3 months to get some sleep, UGLY drug that one! ) . So I have been tapering off Clonazepam since last year, was at 2 mg/day now am at .5 mg/day. I don't need or want them, just doing a long slow taper, should be right off them in about 4 months. I have had many , many compliments these past few months on looking very healthy as compared to what I looked like before, lost quite a lot of weight while detoxing and haven't put it back on, so I am enjoying my life more and more all the time, and it does take time to start enjoying it again. Keep on keeping on everyone. You can do it!
37 days today!!!!! starting to feel like a new person...still dont have really good energy but NOTHING like being on methadone + the taper. All of your stories are so inspiring....Thank you all for posting...really helps!
Congrats to everybody on their "free" time! :)
Hi I am Momwithnosleep currently 8 weeks clean of Norco's and Xanax after CT quit.
Congrats to everyone and keep looking forward.
Hi everyone weather you got 1 day or1000 we all do this ''just for today'' congrats to all on this list keep up the good fight the key to doing this is aftercare hit a few N/A meeting if you haven't yet ooo by the way I got 1719 days clean off of methadone and owe it to N/A it works if you work it............Gnarly.............
selfinduced- Bahahaha! Stupid Passages, I want to throw something at the TV every time I see that guy, "I was an addict, but now I'm not"..... Please! Anyway, I have 940 days clean today, folks. Awww yeah! Grateful for every single day. Whether you have 1000 days or 1 day, keep fighting this fight. People are dying from this disease, all the time, and I mean people that I actually know. I keep hearing of overdoses, or complications from drug use, etc. A girl I was in outpatient with was on suboxone, and left the program, ended up at some point on the Methadone program, and supposedly was doing well, and just died two days ago. I am unsure of the particulars, some say heart attack, others say respiratory. She was 26 years old. Keep fighting, friends!
