Day 2

Just woke up. Got 6 hrs of sleep but I will take that! Thank you to everyone, you guys motivate the crap outta me to get clean and stay clean! I have been a lurker on these websites for about 6 months. This time I decided that I probably could use the help. I know that ridding myself of this isn't gonna be easy but I am sure that u guys will keep me on the right track. I got put on opiates right around 2 1/2 yes ago for my back.. Bulging disks. I could take anywhere from 10-12 Percocet 10/325 a day, or anything that I could of found and buy. I am 26 and I don't want to do this forever. My back doesn't even hurt anymore. I take them for energy cause I can zoom around the house and clean it over and over because the kids make messes. This time for me and me only I want to get clean! I want to be able to see my kids grow up. It really stinks being addict and having to go through this! I swore growing up that I would never be like this but here I am on day two of detox, GO ME!!

Thank u gnarly and also Krazy... I kinda feel crazy lol. I have yet to go to the store today because seriously I don't feel like going. But yet I really need to get some b12. I am just trying to stay as positive as possible throughout this. YA I am sore, my body aches like a *****, I have no energy whatsoever, but I will get through this no matter what comes my way!

Make sure to use whatever you need from the WD symptom list I posted for you yesterday.  The easier we can make the WD's the more likely we are to be successful...though of course the thing we need most is determination and the sincere desire to get off the drugs!

You are gonna do great!!!

I will tell you, it isn't easy forsure. I knew that I couldn't do the taper because I would mess that up. If I have them I take them, end of story! I have to do the cold turkey. Just realize that this is what u want, to be clean, to make a life for your self that will be much greater without this crap in it!!! Do it for you and you only! ya I feel like crap today and have the poops, but I am looking at where I will be tomorrow and the next day. I have only been able to go 4 days cold turkey in the past and this time I want to go way further then that, I want to get clean forever

Great job! I too had been lurking on here for awhile knowing I wanted to make a change and rid myself of the percs I've been on for the past 5 years.  Tapering now but hoping to have the courage to jump off within the next few weeks and reading posts like yours definitely help encourage me that it can be done. :)

WTG on Day 2 and congrats on being so lucky that you actually got some sleep.  Most do not for several days.  My hubby used to say the reason they called those pills percocet is because they "perk" you up...which is what gets all of us in the end.  Eventually though it takes too much to get that "buzz" and for some they just quit getting it.

I'm thrilled to be off the opiates...is it easy?  No.  They say nothing worth having is ever easy though.

Don't overdo today and keep doing whatever it is you are doing...it obviously is helping with your Detox :-)
