Yep..that is what happens. Those meds have altered our real emotions for so long. It takes time for those Brain Chems to balance back. Let it all out..you will feel so much better. It will balance out real soon but it might take awhile. The Mental is the hard part but it is not physically uncomfortable, just hard to learn to live in our own skin at first. Keep doing whatever it is to keep your mind re-directed. Our stomachs have receptors in there too and it does take time for those to start to clear up or unplug. That is why I did not do that stuff. I wanted all the toxins to come out and they do from the skin, eyes, nose and bathroom issues.
Big Congrats on your clean time..Keep stepping forward one foot at a time. Day by Day. Hope you are getting some outside Support!
Have a Merry Christmas

Congrats on 20 days Hockeyguy !! That is Wonderful ! I would suggest forgoing the Imodium and let your body right itself. eat clean foods fruit cooked veggies and such lean proteins that are not real heavy as chicken fish shrimp start small. A lot of us are dehydrated without knowing it Make sure you are taking in enough fluids. As V said above it will all work out in time. Your emotions have been damned up by the opiates for awhile, Now that they are free they are working over time this also will balance out also sooner then later. Exercise eat drink water and stay Positive You are Free !! I wish you a very Merry Christmas ! lesa
20 days is fantabulous!!!! Keep pushing yourself as the minor physical w/d will come to an end soon. I had "loose" bowels for months but I assume its b/c of 14 yes of opiate use which really stops you up. Don't sweat it as you can't crap yourself to death....lol....just keep rolling with it as you'll be amazed at what is to come....
As one wise beautiful soul once told me, Congrats on feeling again!
You are doing great and a big huge Congrats on 20 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!
About six weeks and you won't be a cry baby anymore. Same thing for the stomach. 6-8 weeks.
I am about 8 weeks and still have stomach issues but I'm positive I have other issues with my stomach that I need to get checked out.
Merry Christmas to everybody on here. Thank you for all the support. I'm leaving for a 3 week vacation tomorrow out of the country so I'm not scared I will be tempted by any access to what I have kicked. I feel so confident and motivated, thank you for all of your comments and help. I hope that you all have a wonderful Holiday and a fantastic new year. I look forward to coming back on here being at my 45 day mark!
