Methadone detox

I am down to 2.5 milligrams of done.  Staying here for two weeks then down to one for two weeks. Hoping for minimal withdrawals.  Is my taper at a good speed?

Today is day 66 free of methadone. So grateful to be free from the clutches of it.  I have had zero symptoms since day 1.  I went slow and low.  Well another pain clinic closed its doors without notice to patients.  Since this happened to me too I definitely don't want to be in this position ever again.  This has motivated me to stay positive during this transition.  This whole taper was effortless in the end.  I just stopped and haven't experienced any withdrawls.  I dodged a bullet so to speak. Everyone is different and IMO you don't need to be scared.  I have tapered in the past AND suffered.  So I am experienced with withdrawl symptoms.But this time I didnt have them. I am just rambling.  Anyway taking this one day at a time......peace

Just an update. Still methadone free.feeling normal. No cravings.

Today is day 40 free of methadone. Bringing in the new year feeling no withdrawals. My cold is better still have sneezing fits though.  Taking it one day at a time....peace

Today is day 36 off of methadone.  Caught a cold so I feel lousy.  Moving slower today.  I never got sick on methadone  so this is new. Sneezing is unbelievable today.  But I am so grateful that my withdrawals never came.  I still have no cravings but then haven't had them for years. Taking it one day at a time......peace
