Is my liver ruined? Is yours? I quit the pills b/c I was scared of damage...

Taking sometimes 20 5/500 a day - that being 10,000 mg of tylenol and I know the daily max is 4000 - doing this for years I'm terrified I've done damage.  I don't have insurance so I don't know how to get tested.  My left side hurts constantly, and I know it's my liver.  Just wondering how much dope you had to do to damage YOUR liver - or if you know how much typically does damage.  Scared

My right side hurts CONSTANTLY - I have gall bladder attacks and in between the attacks I'm sore like I was punched in the side...I just chalked it up to being sore from the attacks.  I've been having attacks for a little over a year.  Good to know though..geeze...
I need to get into one of those places.  Scares the **** out of me.

They can check your liver with a blood test.There are some clincs that will see people W/O ins on a sliding scale .Normally liver pain would be on your right side .Left side there is your spleen and left kidney. A check up might be a good idea.

If you were having liver pain it would be on your right side more then likely under the rib cage.. bloating cramp like pain from he!! I would be more concerned with my kidney... The money you save on the pills should pay for a blood test for liver and kidney function.. Good for you for quitting.. be good to yourself.. lesa

Your liver is on your right side right under your ribcage.  There are health clinics for people that can't pay, but don't know where you are or your city but I would check into it for peace of mind!
