If anyone that has major chronic pain exercise in pool water aerobics or swim do laps. Yes very painful at time but definitely helps. Keep the faith! !!!!
Deffo stay busy, and at those quiet times (which are the WORST for me) deep breathing.
If you can get through without Xanax or anything like that, that's ideal. I did not opt for those as I was worried I would feel like I needed them all the time eventually (my junkie mind speaking).

I was prescribed Valium and Clonidine for my detox off Subs, which helped 100%.
But if you go out looking for Valium and Xanax, chances are if you cant get any, you may go looking for something else.
As you know, Vals and Xanax are highly addictive and if you cant control yourself, you may get hooked on those.
I used my detox meds for 8 days only taking what was prescribed ( actually less ) and anything that is taken for 2 weeks and longer on a daily basis, is the start of another addiction.
You may jeopardise your recovery by taking any mind altering substances, as they impact our brain the way our drug of choice does.
I know its extremely tough right now for you, and your probably in the thick of your detox with your pain being extreme, but please just be careful with other meds you choose to take to be pain free while in detox.

i too am a little over 3 days since my last dose....79hrs and 10min if you wanna be anal! today has been the worst for me too. Hang in there bud!! i cant do baths..but hot long showers have been a godsend today!! throughout the rollercoaster that was today, the shower has definitely been the start of each incline. force yourself to do a little....i know it sounds like too much.....hell it did to me 8 hours ago but forcing myself to take my pup for a walk sucked at the time but did have a positive effect!! even going to the store for a pack of smokes felt like an accomplishment today!! DO try and keep your mind off it...tomorrow will be day 4!!!! it HAS to start getting better!!! keep it up!!!!
Exercise, just a short walk around the block and a long hot soak in a bath with Epsom salts. Keeping busy is the best way to keep your mind off the cravings.
