Hey all, trying to honestly quit. About 24 hours into it. Couple of questions--
1) I've used ~200mg/day of Oxy for the past few months (before that about 100mg/day for three years with the exception of one 17 day break in December), however in an attempt to quit for good, over the course of the past week, I've tapered down to about 30mg/day and I kept it there for quite a few days before quitting yesterday. Will the withdrawal symptoms be just like I quit from 30/day or will the fact that I've had a lot more of it in my system BEFORE that intensify it quite a bit? Normally I just quit cold turkey so I'm just curious because it doesn't seem TOO bad yet (knock on wood)...
2) I have a few 50mg Tramadol which I've read can help ease withdrawal symptoms. I've taken two since I quit the Oxy and it's helped quite a bit in the past 24 hours with my back pain (I have a herniated disc) and helped make me a little bit more comfortable than I normally would be on the first day without Oxy, but I'm wondering if it's just prolonging the symptoms? The only reason I'm taking them is to help deal with the pain of withdrawal, but if it's just going to push it all back further, I'd rather just get it over with without them.
Any and all advice much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jessica
