THANK YOU..from the bottom of my heart

This is a big fat thank you to everyone who gave me support, advice, and just an ear to vent. I'm on my 6th day clean, and finally feel like I've turned the corner. I woke up this morning feeling good all over. I know the war is not won, but I've certainly conquered the battle of wd's! Hopefully more good days to come. And bless all your hearts, each and everyone of you.

Hey NorcB, I am doing great today I am on day 25. I have been on a business trip this week so I haven't been on the forum much and I am doing this from blackberry. I know how you feel with the waves of energy or the lack of it. For me it comes and goes but it has been getting better everyday so hang in there you are doing great for day 6 and I am proud of ya. The sneezing thing goes away too it just takes time. So keep on keepin on. ---quitin

Oh my goodness, the snappy, irritable feeling was really there for me!  I still feel a little irritated today... I know it will pass.  And your coworkers will just have to deal with it!  Have a fantastic day! I am so proud of you, and everyone else on here!

Thanks Tram - It certainly is nice to wake up and not reach for that bottle before I even open my eyes.

Congrats!  You've turned a big corner.  Now just find a way to NEVER go back through this again!  Life is too precious to rely on pills to make us happy and content!

I'm very proud of you!

Thanks Sara! I agree aftercare is important. The first test will be when something stresses me out, or I just feel overwhelmed again. So, i know I need to find a group to talk to in person. You have all been wonderful, but I know that personal attention can be key for most.  I'll keep you posted on my next steps.

Matt and overit2day - Thanks so much. I've followed you guys story from the beginning. It's so true when you have others going thru the same thing it really does help you stay motivated. I've tried staying positive and just kept reading others to inspire me as well. Hopefully I can return the favor to others on here. The only prob I have today is I'm a little snappy with my co-workers, is this normal? LOL If that's all, its far worse on everyone else than me. I could use a break anyhow...teehee
