I don't think some people understand how awful tramadol withdrawal is. It was the worst time of my life and I've been in labor. It's the devil.

I am assuming you got the naltrexone from a doctor with a plan of action? When I was told about naltrexone by a rehab nurse I was almost sorry I understood what it really did as it kinda prevented me from getting high when I wanted to at my earliest convenience. That was ten yrs ago. Why then don't you just ask the person who gave you the naltrexone just what to do.  Hang in there.

If anyone wants to know about naltraxone, ask me as had a implant without detoxing i went through hell and back but i am now clean, but if you asked me if i would do it that way again...........no but trust me i have used every opiate going and and have gained it through every type of crime possible so if you want answers ask me and you will get the truth plain and simple. One thing I will say is DO NOT have the naltraxone implant without detoxing, my wife watched me nearly die because I was stupid enough to think I could ride it but you really really can't!!!!! I and my wife are still having nightmares over this experince now!!!

Shell,

I am really suprised to here that a doctor is willing to give you Suboxone for Tramadol addiction. That is like using methadone to get off tylenol 3s. That is just really odd. Do you take any other opiates...vicodin, or oxy or something?

I currently have been abusing tram for 3 yr.s now within the past few days while running low on a fill i freaked outthinking i may have to withdrawl and made an appt. with an md on the subxone site with there md. locator md. was willing to treat me so my appt. is in a few days so i guess i'll see who this program will work out. check out subxone. com and find and md. if serious it took quite a few calls to all the md's on the list but finally got an appt.
good luck keep me posted

Naltrexone is a blocker for opiates and I believe it blocks some effects of alcohol.  I was prescribed this after I got off the Suboxone.  It is processed by the liver, but my Dr. felt it was worth the potential liver damage in order to keep me off opiates.

hi, just wanted to ask you a couple of things because my new doc gave me 120//50mg of tramadol tabs a couple of weeks ago--i was taking hydro 10/500's,but missed a drug (pee) test and he said "i can't give you hydrocodone, but this ultram "tramadol" should help until you get right with ua screen" man, all i've seen on this forum is bad news from this stuff.i have taken a few,but didn't get high really. anyway, how much & how long have you been taking tram? also, i do know the naltrexone is a "opiate-blocker" so that type of drug will just be cancelled out. it's really for people that have o/ded on morphine-heroin & that type stuff-- it can litteraly through you into W/D's when it's given.
