I will be home baking tonight as we have Christmas in the morning!! I will have flour from one end of the house to the other making cut out cookies!! My 4 yr old grandbaby will be decorating them tomorrow. Spending the day with my family is what it is all about and welcoming in a New Year clean and sober. Doesnt get any better than that~
Happy New Year Sarah!
Luckily, I never partied on New Years of the Greggorian Calender that Western cultures follow, the solstice was when the New Year actually started in nature. The days are getting longer, night is getting shorter, I won't miss anything at tonight's party. My daily life is better than the best night at the bar, take that all you party animals! I'm certain everyone would rather be satisfied with how life is, I am lucky I am a recovering addict, my addiction recovery is what makes me as good a man as I am this year. It just keeps getting better.
Happy New Years to you as well!!!! No alcohol for me and I will probably be in bed by 10!!!! Such a fun date I am!!!! :) Hope 2015 is wonderful for you!!!!
Thanks Sarah! I agree with you; no alcohol for me tonight. We usually have champagne, but there is very little to celebrate after drinking that foul stuff (at least the next morning...UGH.)
I'm staying home with hubby and we are watching all the marathons on tv and eating lots of fattening food.
I have never liked driving on NY's Eve; the rate of drunk drivers on the road sky rockets...as my husband calls it "Amateur Night"..too darned dangerous.
Happy Sober New Year!
Hugs,
-Robin
A happy and safe holiday to you as well! I think I'm going to go to a dinner and movie with the fam. Shouldn't get into too much trouble there. ;) Be safe everyone!
