Please. If you want to get clean don't use sub. Listen to the clean people that have used sub and had withdrawal that were worse than oxy or methadone.  I know that addicts sift out the things they don't want to hear. Im sure you would rather go to the appointment and get the "easier softer way" But really there isn't one. I took hydro and oxy for over 6 years and  went through the worst of the withdrawal in the first 4 days and then felt better each day. By day 5 I was taking walks and able to work (not at top speed_) but feeling like I would make it. In fact I got so cocky by week 2 I decieded to use just for the weekend. Wow don't do that, because I went back to the chills and runs etc. I was at about your dose. So don't be frightened by people that make the withdrawal monster something its not. I laughed at them by day 4 and said, "Is this all you got"!!!  Not to say you won't suffer for awhile, It's like child birth, painful but so worth it. (thank God it doesn't hurt that bad !)

Hi,
I've been on all the opiates and OC up to 400 mg a day for 12 years. I decided one day to quit the oxycontin. I went to bed April 2nd was still w/d the 16th. and I mean bad. The flu times 1000. It's a horrible sickness. While I was doing the cold turkey got diarrhea worst I've ever had. Immodium didn't do me much good. I got a prescription, sorry can't remember the name, and didn't keep the bottle. Tell your doc, I think it starts with an "L"  You must have this.
as far as Suboxone, I looked for this drug for a year and it was kept secret. And on the 29th of April I found a sub dr. in my town who prescribed it. Was still in w/d at that time.
Took 4 mg.s (half) of a 8 mg pill of suboxone and my w/d were gone/pain was gone/ and no craving for narcotics whatsoever....all within half hour of taking the sub.
I knew this was a magic drug, and knew it must be addictive too. So I only take about half a day, and now I'm down to taking a quarter a day, went 3 days without it, forgot it while out of town. Didn't feel good but it was nothing like OC.
GO FOR IT>    because OC will not work when you take this drug. It changes the receptors in your head. It saved my life. Totally magic drug. I don't want to get hooked on the sub either. So Tuesday I get another cript, and I'm gonna cut a half into a half. Nothing that works this good could not have its own side effects.
But for you, at this point in time for YOU>..you should get on the sub. You won't believe it.
Hope this helps, you can write back anytime.

I think that your moderate habit could be handled without sub or methadone. The rebound effects of these drugs can be a bi#$h. May some imodium and valium. all the best
