Well it's not exactly court mandated. Basically I volunteered to go to a facility and the court said they were happy with that and would let me go do that then then they would check on me after I am done and then give me my sentence.I didn't know they will do a sliding scale. Thanks for letting me know that is encouraging.
Many times they will do a sliding scale based on your income. Will the court or county help any because it is court mandated?
I wish my insurance would pay but since I've been clean they won't pay for any type of treatment. I have to go because of court reasons. I pray it's not too expensive. Thanks for all the information.
Is it an intensive outpatient program? They are programs that meet 3 times a week for 3 hrs each session. They usually have morning or night sessions. They also have family meetings, do drug testing. They run anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. The programs are very information. They usually do a 12 step program. Any program works if the person works the program and wants to stay clean. Both of my oldest children went through the program years ago, court mandated. Unfortunately they weren't ready at the time to stop. My daughter did finish the program but started to use again. My son got kicked out for too many dirty urines.
Hi
Some of them are good and they have counseling and groups and you learn about triggers and learn coping skills, etc.
Some of these places are just suboxone or methadone clinics in disguise.
For example our methadone clinic is called the evv treatment center.Noone who does not go there would ever know that it is nothing more than a methadone store.
If you are concerned about cost(as I always am.lol) the state mental health places have very very reasonable prices and if you want to learn you can get just as good quality there as you can in a high dollar facility-imo as far as outpatient goes. Hope this helps.
Hi....yes.....in the late 90's for alcohol. To keep my job. My insurance paid so I'm not sure of the cost. It involved regular meetings (one on one) with a specialist and with an addiction Dr....and group meetings weekly. It didn't stick. I finally quit drinking 2 yrs ago when I got tired of being a pill addict AND a drunken idiot.
Sorry if this isn't much help. If you are dedicated it can help you. But then so can an N/A meeting at much less cost. Just my humble $0.02
Peace
Jimi
