Good grief!! This is beyond sad!
I agree with Sara;the damage to the baby may have already happened. Benzos are especially bad in early pregnancy.
Here is exactly what I would do: Make a list of every drug and have your friend call the OB/GYN. Speak to the doctor or his nurse. They cannot share info about HER but they'll listen and take it from there. This needs to occur immediately!
Keep us posted...
This is heartbreaking. I hope this baby will be ok. Someone has to step in here, this child deserves a fair chance at life!!!
I hope and pray someone steps in here and does what is right for this innocent baby. The damage i am sure is already done with all the drugs she has taken. She needs to be medically monitored to come off all of those meds while carrying this child. Please be the voice for this unborn child~~~sara
she needs to be arrested today! turn her in.. save the life of the child...
I agree with Dav here. She needs professional help and someone needs to intervene. I'm not sure how you would go about it though. I'm not sure if there are any laws to where you could force her to get help but I would check into it. She's hurting herself and the baby so much. Like mentioned above, if she thinks she is going to "quit like like" she is going to have a rude awakening. If it were that easy why not just do it now. Some of those meds must be tapered to prevent seizure and since she is pregnant some must be tapered in order to prevent miscarriage. It's a sad situation. It's almost impossible to get someone to quit unless they really want to. Maybe you can research the damage she is causing her unborn baby, print off what you find and give it to her. Is there any way you or her mother in law can talk to her OBGYN about any of this?
Not too good. That baby more than likely is going to have issues..Anxiety and attention deficit issues..So she's set a time frame and going to quit "just like that?".. She's kidding herself for sure..
