You pretty much said it, I would rather have the wd's than what the pills do to our lives.

Bearing the diarrhea is not really necessary as imodium usually stops that is a heartbeat..1-2 as needed
You will have to sit down and figure out just how much u r willing to put up with in order to stop..it is not comfortable...and this u will have to accept...losing everything u own including urself is not comfortable either/nor is waking up on a ventilator cos u overdosed/'nor is looking into the eys of those u love knowing u have hurt them...perhaps ur addiction will not go that far...but for some it does..all i do know is it will not get better by itself///only worse///keep posting
Opiates basically numb all areas of your body. They also do a great job of slowing down the constricting action of your intestines. This slows down the movement of food through your system. The slower the food goes, the more water is absorbed, and the firmer the stool. Take away the opiates, and the process reverses. So, yes, it's definitely a withdrawal symptom. Imodium is an opiate derivative that doesn't pass the blood-brain barrier. It does wonders helping with the stomach distress.
