Quick Question Please!! Oxycodone vs. Tylenol w/Codeine?? Please help?

Hi, i was wondering if anyone knew the differences between Oxycodone and Tylenol w/Codeine??  I know they both have acetomenophen.  But, the Tylenol with Codeine has Codeine obviously.  I was taking the one with 30mg. of codeine.  Now I have Oxycodone 7.5-325.  What is the opiad in this drug?  Is it also codeine, or a different drug?  I know my body's reaction to the T3, so I am a little nervous to try this new one....oxycodone.  Is it stronger, not as strong, the same???  I would really appreciate any help!  Thanks!!

Hydrocodone does the same for me,one night a few weeks ago i took 2 ambiens and didnt sleep a wink,so my doctor switched me to an equivelent of what i was taking of the hydrocodone(8 10/325mg norcos a day) now on Oxycodone IR,i only need one pill,i can sleep again,no pain,no issues. No nausea or stomach issues that the norcos gave me,its a stronger drug but i have been through opiate withdrawal at least 5 times, the only time it was bad was when i was taking this past time before i got the oxycodone i was on the Norcos for 5 months taking the 8 a day everyday never more never less, but my physical symptoms only lasted 2 days, where as when i tried to stop my xanax to prove a point for 7 days, after 2 days i was having seizures and almost died, benzos are alot worse to withdraw from then opiates

I know it has been years since this post. Wanted to let you know that 5 years ago some ******* put me on oxycodone.  Like everyone said, the addiction sneaked up one me. I just had my left kidney removed and a stone that had lodged in my lower urethra tube. Blocked off the kidney and destroyed it. They never could get the stone out of the scar tissue. this was probably something going on for a year. I HAD NO IDEA I HAD A KIDNEY STONE ON MY LEFT SIDE. I also had 4-6 stones in my right kidney when they finally found out this was going on.  I blame it on the oxy for masking the kidney stone pain. I took the oxy for arthritis that destroyed my knees. in 12 short days I will finally get the bilateral knee surgery that should have been done 5 years ago. I had no insurance and had to wait for medicare, I took the oxy to get me through until I could have my knees replaced.

Oxy was a necessary evil. But I will not let anyone give me oxy again. I hate the way it controlled me and that I could not control it. I hate the way it made me feel. I did not want to participate in life. It took my left kidney and I know it has damaged my liver, to what extent, I am affraid to know.

I found a good psychologist that put me on medications I actually need, paxil, 4 mg of xanax(yes I used to abuse it but I actually do need it and I give it to someone in my household just in case), and ambien for sleep. I feel much better these days not carrying around the weight of opiode addiction.
