been having severe withdrawals

i stopped taking oxycontin/heroin abruptly which i thought would be the best way to take care of my addiction but it has been much harder and more painful than i had thought.  i've been withdrawing for about 85 hours or so and i'm still having trouble sleeping and maintaining a constant temperature.

please tell me when will it end??

dank u

If you are at 3 and 1/2 days keepp going, the hard physical part is almost over. I just drank ensure and doubled my multi vitamins. Hot baths really help... And exercise as soon as you can. It really helps. I know it sounds impossible but it does help.

Usually 2 weeks, better week two from what I hear. You have to get busy doing something and try some AA or NA meetings for inspiration and tools to stay sober. You've made it this far, try to gut it out, you're doing the right thing!

kees...The worst for me was days 3 to 5.  I am on about day 11, I think.  I was on a stronger drug for many years I have used....so yours may be shorter I hope it is. My daughter used oxy then went to heroin mixed with codine, and mainlined...She died of an OD about 5 years ago....PLEASE keep going....Withdrawl is much easier than dieing.  Love  Jerri

The length and severity of withdrawal can be affected by how much and for how long. If you had withdrawals the past 31/2 days it should ger a little better in the next couple of days . Drink lots of water and fruit juice and eat lightly if you can. The option of using only postpones this whole hellish process till another time . You will get better , don't     let the dope make your decisions . I've been there many times . It's hard , very hard . It takes time  for your body and mind to heal and return to a more " normal " state.
Good luck ! You can do this!
