Rainy day

Just hit 40 + days and today I have hit a wall.  Cravings have hit big time.  Good news, I don't have and can't/won't get any.  But man, this *****!!!!  I will be fine, the day is rainy, cool and stormy.  I have been napping which I do on days like this.  I know it will get better..it is a bump in the road.  Just looking for some good will today!

thanks to all.  I am actually out and about today!  I stayed in jammies all day yesterday...I took a hot bath and got into new jammies!  I am doing better, depressed and dealing.  I will hold on another day!!  I appreciate you all so much.

Littlebit - 50 days today for me and I'm right there with you, this week especially for some reason I've been craving and I just try to keep myself busy.  I wonder when will this stop as I really did think I was just physically dependent on them in the beginning - I now know it was more than that and I may fight it the rest of my life.  So I'm taking it one day at a time and I wanted you to know you are not alone!  Hang in there - I'd love a nap right now myself!  Hugs

Hey littlebit remember what mama said ....there will be days like this...sorry your having a bad day. but everyone does. everyone has a down day. The good news is tomorrow the weather may change. and attitudes come and go.

I think as addicts we are super sensitive to feelings. we want everyday to be sunny....but rain makes things grow:)

Remember, you are not alone. Just like others said already, we all go through days like that and most likely will for the rest of our lives. Thats how addiction works it stays with you forever. Like a bad uncle you can't kick out of family renunions. Whatever i quit, i had to stop from 100% to Zero. I can't lower my intake and slowly stop. I used to smoke for 15 years, towards the end almost 2 packs a day. One night all of a sudden, i decided; I am DONE! That was almost 1 year ago. Do i still get cravings, YES! Will i get them again and again but i have chosen not to give in. Today is my 13th day witout Percs, again i stopped from one day to another.
Its no walk in the park, body aching, nervousness, being mean, having mood swings, no patience, no energy, can't get any rest and sleep but again, I have chosen not to give in. I haven't taken anything and i am still alive. I will always be in chronic pain, i will always be in some sort of discomfort but i am being myself.
I don't have to work like a clock, when i am in pain, i am resting, when i am not in a good mood, i wont answer the phone. If my pain killers make me have energy and happy go lucky well, they have another thing coming. I am a very stubborn person and i will fight this forever. Whoever is doing this, having withdrawals; you are NOT alone. Be proud of yourself, taking responsibility of your life. Every minute counts

Congratulations on your clean time. Cravings r terrible and i caved in 3 days ago. Was it worth it. NO. Nothing but more trouble.

A friend on here said i romance the using. I think we do when we hit certain days. But we must remember the aftermath.

Keep going strong.

Hugs Zoe. X

I am right there with you on our days...  Hang in there!  Just think how far you have come to be able to realize this feeling and post about it...  Instead of the alternative.  Sometimes it takes a stormy day to fully appreciate the sunny ones....

Your doing great..
