You should check out the insurance pretty close. If you have a "pre-existing condition", it may be that your insurance will cover much further than you think. Used to be that way. Like if you were pregnant now, for instance, they would be compelled, normally by state laws also, to cover you up to and through delivery. Just a thought. Worth checking out.

I'm sorry your having trouble trying to taper. Have you read the "PAWS" information. I see it has helped quite a few people.

I don't think anyone is ignoring you, some people have been on this forum for a long time so it's only natural that people become friends and I could see why you would feel left out.

I will be looking for you posts from now on to see how you are doing. I just wish I had some better advice for you.

hey, girl, i can understand your initial frustration.....things can get kinda clique-ish sometimes....but as others have said, it's not intentional or snubby or anything like that....but i do understand how a newcomer might sorta feel that way...absolutely....i don't think you were being "whiney" :-)  count me in as a friend and i'd love to help and chat and support....you've got me....i'm kimmieb, female from chicagoland area....i'm not on here always on a regular basis, but when i am, i'll definitely look for you....and you can pm me ANYTIME you want....i always, always respond to my pm's....sorry if i've somehow missed  you up until now....but so glad to meet you!!! :-)

Count me in too. I agree that there is familiarity. Some of us have known each other for quite a while. I too will always respond to PMs. Sometimes it's a post like this that gets things moving. I don't think anyone here really overlooks a post intentionally. BTW I love your name!
    Suboxone is a good option if other methods failed. Just be sure to get a reputable Dr and I would encourage counseling along with it. Many here have shopped around and have found a wide range of prices etc. Good Luck to you.

Sub has done so much for me let  me tell you, I'm on 1mg now from 12mg my first day and every drop has been ok for me with the exeption of one time from 4mg to 2mg anyways also this am I had a post bc I didn't know if I was having a reaction of wd or what cause I been nauseous since yesterday but it wasn't the sub, it turns out I'M PREGNANT tan tan tan NOTTTTTT LOL just kidding not pregnant thats what I told my husband and he almost die then he ask who is the daddy cause he had a vasectomy lol.

Sorry I don't mean to talk so much the point is if I was to do it again I would do the sub thing but maybe I would do it for less time so in your case is perfect cause you got just enough time right?

hi thanks theeagle your responses do count i didnt mean that i just meant i wasnt getting a lot of responses but i do feel better now. and lonesome how is the sub working for you? do  you feel any withdrawal at all? i think my insurance will cover it but  i lose it in july so i should get on it now i know of a sub docotr down the street from where i live so i want to get a referral to him. how much do you take?

My DOC was hydros but took oxys or whatever opiate I could get my hands on. I also could not taper. Could not be around them and not take them. I did ct and have 2 months clean now. I don't know alot about Sub but there is alot of controversy about it on here. Did you read the info at bottom right of page on Sub? Good place to get info. Good luck Corey

I know about suboxone so tell me would your insurance cover for the sub? bc mine does so if it does then you got a month with that said you need to find a doctor in your area that prescribes sub and get on it, sorry if that is what you really want to do I can only say good things about it and in your case I would do a fast detox a lot of ppl here have done it and they done good SO FAR, now as for me I have been on sub for 3 months and hope to be of next month the end so please pm me if you have more questions and if I can help ok

well im asddicted to oxycontin im only 26 yrs old and a small female so i take a lot for my size. i have been addicted for a year and i want to quit. i tried ct once but it was soo hard i only lasted a day. i tried tapering but i have not been successful with that even though my bf holds onto them for me i always make him give me more. so im thinking about taking suboxene but i lose my health insurance in july bc we got laid off at my job.  im so very scared of withdrawals i know i will be a stronger person once i am done and get through it but i have a very low tolerence for pain or any discomfort. im a big baby i mean i get a paper cut and i cry.  so i dont knwo i would just like some peopel to talk to that have been through this.
