Congrats you two!! 61 days for me! Substance abuse counselor, ARG at church, and two NA meeting groups a week at my hospital. We all rock, oh yes we do, oh yes we do........

michele do find something... I want to see you stay clean and this forum is great but you need something there too .Thank you ..The first time I got clean I made it over 6 months but I was not getting any recoverycare I relapsed so its really important ....

I know it too.  Just can't do anything with him working all the time, and only one vehicle.  He doesn't get home till 8 30 or 9 pm sometimes, and I have to care for him and all his needs when he is here.  I love it, but I need time for me too to stay well :)  thanks

hehehe!! yes I always wanted to be a cheerleader in school (not!!) lol, but I love doing it here.  I just want to help people.  I guess I need a real job, but he doesnt want me to work, just care for him :)   I guess that's okay with me...I am trying to find a late night meeting around here, just don't know the town that good yet, and when I do, he will switch towns and jobs.  Nature of the business.  But I will find something soon I hope :)  Yes I love it here!!

32 days off cigaretts, after 30+ years of heavy smoking.  Somedays my recovery program seems to consist of frequently muttering "god damn I want a cigarette."  Actually, I'm using the 12 Steps and Chantix.

1,764 days off mood/mind altering substances. Recovery program consists mostly of actively working the AA program and going to about 5 meeting a week these days (during the first year it was 10 a week, lots of recovery and spiritual reading, and trying to practice the principles in all my affairs.

Im about 260+ days clean again off vicodin. I have only been to 1 NA meeting, like 2 months ago or something like that and just use this board for now as my aftercare (stop your yelling Avis, lol). Im doing really good lately..i had hit quite a dark spell over the winter which peaked about a month ago. I was pretty depressed and feeling empty for awhile, but through my wonderful children and this great warm early spring weather, Ive snapped out of it and been enjoying life again!

lol, lol Vicki, i can so picture Avis grabbing her car keys, walking out her door and mumbling to herself, alright, thats it we're all going to a meeting, wait a minute, where can i rent me a bus??

Michele- Its great to want to meet his needs but yours are just as important, an hour on his own wouldnt kill him would it? Like, Vicki said, once a week maybe? We love your help here but we want to keep you as our cheerleader, not lose you to a relapse.

Jacky...I literally laughed out loud...A BUS!!!   I can just picture that...on her cell phone,calling around and THEN calling Ga Guy to be the driver!!    You know...I think if she could she'd do just that!!
And don't worry about Michele...I know where she lives.  I'll get her to a meeting and pray we can be serious for an hour or so...

I attend 2 NA meetings a week and get together for coffee once a week with another bunch of people.  Recovery care is so very vital to our clean time and healthy living.

Congrats to everyone on their clean time!!!
