Remaining Pain

I am sorry to start a new thread with this, but I  am extremly concerened. On the eighth day of tramadol withdrawal, and I am really starting to have back pain. Of course those of you who have gone through withdrawal know the first few days are hell. God has really brought me through some of the most intense withdrawals, so I really think I am at the end of that. What I am wondering is this: I first got on pain meds from an injury at work and developed MRSA on my back. I was given 10 weeks of iv drugs and was cleared of all infection. During the wd's I didn't have any back pain, and now within the last couple of days I started developing pain. It was on the left side yesterday and now on the right side today. It feels like it is muscle or tendons pulling in my lower back by lower side. Is it a remaning symptom?  I am so scarred because I don't for any reason want to get back on pain meds. Someone please tell me one way or the other. I hate the wondering. Thanks. So sorry for being a baby.

Your while body is adjusting. I'm sure you will feel pain but soon you'll find you're pain free for the most part. Just becareful how you move and pick things up.

Ice if it's sore.  You'll be fine.

I'm coming off tramadol and sometimes when getting out of bed it seems like it's a lot more painful in general - the arthritis I mean.

I was taking 50mg tabs 15-18 tabs a day, and I go on a taprer plan. 10 tabs a day.

I have a bad case of pink eye. I've changed how I take the medicine. I was taking 5 in the morningm 2 at lunch and 3 bed. I got all upset and right now I am taking one tab every four hours or so. Right my w/d symtoms are way less intense than before.

I feel lucky. I really want to put this stuff down and very best wishes!

Congrats Chaddavis !! 8 days is great. I agree with your Aunt.. and your statement that all your weakest spots are aching.. it seems wd has a way of seeking out those old injures, the good news it the pain actually improves a great deal when we get a lil more clean time ahead of us.. you have gone through the intense part.. you may try heat alternated with ice to relieve your back pain and walking is surprisingly good for everything from aches to worry.. I use Motrin 800 it is surprisingly effective :) I hope you had a wonderland Thanksgiving.. lesa

I meant that MRSA was in my back not on. Also, forgot to metion, my aunt, who is a nurse practitioner felt my back and it did not hurt when she pressed on it. She thinks, that since I am coming off the meds, it could be a wd symptom still and my weakest spots are hurting the worse. I was in a car wreck in 99 and my back has really never been the same. I don't want to be one of those guys who does not work and lives off pain meds. Not being able to work makes me so scarred. It is one of the worse things I could imagine. I know there are people on here, who can not work and my heart goes out to you. Thanks again for commenting. Just trying to find peace on Thanksgiving. It could be day 2 of wd's. Thank God its not that.
