Screwed up back to day One

I screwed up and threw away 3 weeks clean.  I found pills at my parents and took them and then I was right back where I was before.  Today is day one and I am going to give this another try.  I’m back to N/A and doing my best to fight the cravings to escape to world.  I thought I was out of the woods but far from it. This is a really hard thing to kick.  I will keep you posted.

It's ok. So many of us relapsed. Sometimes that's what it takes to see that using is a dead end road. This is not easy but doable. We reached for our drugs for so long to feel better and it became like breathing. But there is another way to deal with life on lifes terms. We are addicts and can never take just one. At least you stopped yourself.
That part of you deep down inside that wants a clean drug free life. That's the part we must embrace daily and being honest is a huge step in that process. Addiction thrives on lies, secrecy and self loathing. We give it power.
Hang in there!!!

That should serve to tell that it doesn't take much to relapse. This is why anyone who keeps some pills around when they quit "just in case" will 99 times out of 100 cave in to temptation and take them. Your mind wants those pills, and will exploit every weakness to get them.

Hopefully you didn't take too many Tatoo, and don't feel too crappy. Just enough to teach you how fast the physical addiction can take hold of you again.
Good luck again, and stay out of those medicine cabinets! Not even a little peek!

Keep working the program. It works if you work it. These aren't cliches but are true statements. Please, for yourself most of all and then the people who love you. You are so worth it.
