what is the safest & less painful way to fast detox off Methadone? PLEASE help

HI.....the only semi comfortable way of coming off methadone is a slow taper in the end
you can go by larger drops in dose in the higher doses but when you get down to 20ml you need to really slow down....it all about the % of drop 2ml is 10% and in the lower doses it's a lot but its doable if you rush it now your only going to bring yourself threw agony whats another couple of months ....you already been tapering for 3 yrs take you time in the end here and do it right...the real fight starts at 20ml and you will fight for each drop in dose
from here out...I wish you luck and will support you however you decide to do this but a fast taper near the end is painful good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

Hi!  Have you talked to your doctor about some other meds to take while you detox?  Methadone detox is rough, physically and mentally. Clonidine would probably take the edge off the symptoms while you continue to taper, and it's a BP med and not habit forming.  

What symptoms are you having right now?  There may be some things you can buy to help with them!

How have you been doing?  No I am not in the Methadone Clinic....I went there for 3 1/2 yrs.  I am sorry But to me the Methadone Clinic is one BIG trick bag...Ya Methadone saved my life but when you go to the clinic all they worrie about is highering your dose & your payment.   When I left the clinic to start going to  Pain Managment they had me up to 240 mgs aday...and now I am still detoxing from being on such a high dose it has been murder.
I am  down to 20mgs a day, the lower I get the worse it is....It has taken me 3 years of detoxing.  The last 40mgs I have had to fast detox & It has been pure HELL...but I will make it one way or another...I have been trying to get off this crap for 31/2 years now..Anyway how about yourself..are you going to the clinc? How many mgs are you on right now?  Hope is all going well for you...Hope to hear from you soon..Take Care Friend..

Are you on any meds to help you or r u going cold turkey. I suggest seeing a doctor who can help you don't have to suffer to get clean. Hot baths help.and lots of fluids o help flush your system clean. Day 38 here but I am taking suboxone which releived my withdrawal symtoms. I was addicted to morphine.
