Thanks everybody for your input, not just here but on all the step posts throughout. I wish nothing but the best for everyone. Getting clean and sober has been the greatest thing to ever happen to me. Learning, understanding and applying the steps in my life has allowed me to be happy, peaceful and free from the bondage of my addictions. Am I cured? Absolutey not!!!! I have recovered from a state of hopelessness. I have been blessed with a way out. A way that works. Like IBKleen said "don't rush it." Put in the effort but don't force it. Let the steps "sink in." Rember: "One day at a time", "Keep it simple", "Live and let live" and "Let go and let God". Take care everybody!!!!
i love ur post on the 12 steps..kinda sad that we r already on the 12th step.. : ( ...

Thanks for sharing Punkinhead. I love the way you put your personal thoughts in there. I appreciate the post.
Jessica, don't rush it. Do it when you feel comfortable and under the guidance of your sponsor---ALWAYS. I was two years clean before I began my 4th step and that was very okay. For me, any sooner would have been detrimental.
Easy Does It.
Congrats on 8 months, that is awesome!
I'm still new at working the steps, I've been in recovery for 8 months & I'm stuck @ step 4, I guess I'm afraid of what I might find doing the inventory. Others @ my meetings say to just write it out in a notebook I'll give that a try. I'ts cool how u break down step 11 & 12 hope I get to them someday. I'm glad just for today I'm still sober & I thank God for today & the last 8 months.
Jessica
Thank you for explaining this Step and what it means to you. I get a lot of strength and I learn a lot about myself when I help others.
I have learned that I am still in denial about being powerless. I haven't worked the steps yet, so I really need to!
