I agree with gizzy, flush the last 5 pills. I tried so many times to quit by tapering but could never stick to the plan and always ended up taking all the pills I had and then of course freaked out trying to get more. There is a saying in the NA program that says to an addict "one is too many and a thousand is never enough". And I wouldn't get another script filled because the cycle will just continue on. You can do. I never thought I could get rid of my love for the pills, but am celebrating 114 days clean today. Good luck!
I am the mother of an addict that currently wants no help...You have had the strength and sense to come to this forum...listen to the great words of wisdom they have for you....and remember, it is not where you are, its where you end up that's important. Can you turn to your family for support? Wishing you well, Matt's mom
The easiest way not to take any would be to flush them last 5, its a lot easier flushing 5 than 80 and will give you a different mindset to get clean. Having them 5 there, you will end up taking them. It is harder each time you relapse and that is will just keep getting harder. I relapsed so many times until i realized i needed to change things. Good luck and if your serious about this, flush those last couple pills. You can do this:)
I have 5 5/325's left. No, I have no one to hold them. I do NOT want to get anymore though. I want to just stop and go cold turkey, but I have those in case I can't do that. I am trying to think of the best way to do this. I have been taking these and other strengths since my last relapse in NOV. everyday.
do u have someone holding ur pills? sounds like u may need some help..many of us can not taper by ourselves..is there anyone u trust to hold ur pills? what was ur original dose? if u continue to taper and have no luck..sometimes it is better to just jump and get it over with..keep posting
