Would detox help?

hey everyone, im 17 and ive been hooked on drugs for like 5-6 months and ive been sober for a week and i wanna get everythign out of my system. would detox work? ive been doing marijiuana and meth and E and speed.and i dont think im gonna go back cuz im done for good :) i just wanna know if its worth the 500$. cuz im rly seprate to get everything out of my system . thank you very much :).

thank you for that explanation :) it sounds pretty usefull, im gonna see what i can do cuz it would be rly nice to hear others expiriance. But me im done for good. cuz its all in the brain, if the brain has the power to make 1 halucinate then it must have the power to quit them nasty drugs. and im devoted to help myself and others.:)

going to NA meetings and if theyre is a two week program that works with all forms of addiction(opiates, meth,marijuana, ecstacy,cocaine,etc) then I would look into that, if your parents have insurance it should be covered, but say if you cant afford a 2 week program or something very similar to that your best option is to go toa s many NA meetings as you can possibly go to each week, they are crucial for staying clean and keeping on the path of recovery, even if you arent religious(like myself) its not all about that, its about believing in yourself hearing others share experiences and what it took for them to finally get clean..youve already made it a week with no using so congrats! on that, but right now is a very vulnerable time and this is when most relapse happen, so thats why it is sooo crucial for meetings, therapy with someone in the substance abuse field, you can get counseling and its relatively cheap, even if you have to pay out of pocket, it basically comes down to especially at your young age life or death..you dont want to be toying with death for the next 30 years, youve already made it a week, stay clean and find a program and attend meetings, they are soo soo helpful, and plus this forum is a free meeting as well, here you can ask anything and theyre are wonderful ppl all in the similar boat working together building a trusting supportive community full of amazing ppl..stick around, commit to staying off the nasty drugs, and get to truly enjoy living as a teenager, otherwise youll either die or end up turning 18 and 212 in prison(not fun:(..)..let me know if you need anything at all or have any questions i would love to help you out anytime.-christos

but how long would it stay in my system for? as for the friends i dont get influenced lol i really dont they offerd me and i said no  and now no 1 offers and respect my decition and there try to clean therm selfs up to just i have more persaverance. and what would a counser do? i hope it doesnt sound rude cuz i dont mean it like that, i just wanna know cuz knoledge is power and a step closer to freedom :)

Save the 500 dollars.. If you have not taken anything for a week you already are getting it out.. what will help you to recover faster is to eat well.. exercise or walk that helps speed up the healing process.. It is good you want to stop.. It will lead your life down very dark paths.. Do not hang out with friends that use.. also what avisg suggested was maybe go to a counselor and talk about your use.. so you can get help on staying clean.. lesa

im not addicted anymore, im more repulsed if anythign i just wanna know if detox would help me get everything out of my body?

It sounds like you need some type of recovery program to help you Stay off the drugs something like na or an addiction therapist.Get this under control now before it gets a lot worse.
