16mgs is pretty high. The one neat thing about sub, is that if you slowly taper, your body adjusts quite easy to the new dose rather quickly. If you do it slowly, after a couple days, your body won't feel any difference whether your on 16mgs or 14 mgs.. and so on. The films are easy to cut evenly, so that helps. Trust me when I say that tapering is easier than you think. That part is more in your head. The less you're on the better and after a while you're body can't tell the difference between 2mgs and 16mgs.. If you taper slowly of course.
I was also on klonopin for anxiety (.5) but I only took one tab a night before bed.
I personally think that 16mg of sub is a high sustained dose for anyone. I question why a doctor would have you on that high of dose for so long.
I know my friend uses klonipin with methadone and has been rushed to the hospital multiple times from daily use. His doctor tells him that it's okay and keeps giving them to him. I don't know about the sub combo, but I would be careful and use it only as needed.
Another friend is on Opana and her husband will find her sleeping while standing, hunched over in the living room, she also took it as prescribed.
I hope these examples help. Good luck.
No. Not on the face of it. Just be sure you keep the Klonopin as a PRN drug. If you find you're taking them every day then that's a potential problem.
I'm wondering about the Suboxone though. Six years is an awfully long time to be on it. Has there been any discussion about tapering off?
Anyone can relate please give me some sound advice....ty
