Suboxone headaches???

I've been taking 1 8mg film strips of sub for a year now, in may I was in a motorcycle wreck and since then have had extremely bad headaches. But I notice it's usually an hour or so after I take my medicine. And when I mean extreme I mean extreme!! I was Airborne Infantry for 6 yrs and 2 tours and didn't shed a tear the whole time...from physical pain anyway, but these headaches have about got me there. I don't want to take 1000mg of Advil/Tylenol or whatever and certainly don't want to get Rxed and opiates seeing how I'm trying to get off suboxone. So my question is is the sub thatis giving me these headaches? I've gotten them before the bike wreck but they weren't this sever. And I'm about to the point of just quit taking the subs, I know all about the withdraws but I'm to the point that I'm thinking a few days/weeks of pain will be worth a lifetime of sobriety, but is there anything I can do to minimize the withdraws,home remedies? Thanks for your help!!

Hi, and welcome. Click on Post A Question at the top of the substance abuse forum and give us more info. How long, how much, and do you have any to taper with? I've seen people jump of subs at high doses and make. There is hope, so fill us in and start your own post. People can get lost in the shuffle at the bottom of an old thread. Look forward to getting to know you.

i am literally screwed..been on subs for over 1 yr...dont have med. insurance to see a dr...pls  help...

This may help with your sub questions.  I was on subs for 28 days and jumped at a very high dose.  Didn't know ANYTHING.  I had precipitated w/d's big time!

If the info there doesn't help, you may want to be seen about the headaches.  Something else could be causing them since they've been ongoing since b4 your bike accident....and are getting more severe.

Thanks!! I take 3 1mg klonopin Rxed from the VA due to PTSD..I'm seriously thinking of just DTing with those. I mean inform my Dr on what I'm doing, when I got clean in rehab years ago that's what they gave me for 7 days and I didn't go thru it bad at all. I'm just so tired of being involved with this cycle, I don't even want to try tapering down. I just want off of them so bad I don't want to wait. Anyway, thanks!

Hi and welcome.
I can only say one thing.
When i was taking 8-10 norco 10/325 a day i had bad headaches. Would get knots in my neck.
Now I'm down to a few a day. No more headaches. Could be the same for you.
But everyone is different.
