Hey there, I'm on day 2 of NO pills. I' have ZERO energy and do not care about anything. I'm still having to work and my job is VERY physical!  Just wondering if anyone else is forces to be super productive during the worst part of this hell when it hurts and seems impossible and I do not feel any light at the end!    Thanks

Day three is the worst.  Always is.  Day 4 is a smidgen better.  Remind yourself it's ok...your in recovery.  Your body doesn't know what to do.  It knows it's missing it's fix and your body is angry about that..  Hang in there it will get better.  Just be patient

Day 3 is by far the worst.  Day 4 and you'll still be restless and anxious but the work should help with that.  By the weekend you will feel loads better physically and it will be a mental game.  Just hang in there man.  You're doing great.

You are gonna make it.  Those first few days are so awful.  If you are on Day 3 you are almost through the worst of it.  I hope you have the weekend off.  You need to hydrate yourself a bunch and get some rest.  You can do it!!!

Protein and energy drinks. Cheap source of vitamins and a little boost. Just cut the caffeine off WELL before bedtime, as I'm sure sleeping is already hard. (Physical activity should help with that.) Work hard and sleep through as much as you can when you're not working.

How are you doing?

Hi, Cjord- day 2...yup it's the worst. This day will pass. You are in the thick of it right now. My DOC was norco too and I am on day 48 and my energy has been back for quite a while now. Don't look ahead and start freaking yourself out, okay? You are DOING it!!!! Yay, you!!

It all depends on what you were on, dosage, how long, age & health. Norco effects don't last as long as some of the others though, so you should start seeing improvement soon. It won't all come back at once though. Baby-steps..... :)

I've heard it could take months to get your energy back. I had gotten so used to taking them for energy as well as my pain and I have quit cold turkey. Any one have any experience getting it back sooner?

I agree...being active definitely helps. It's hard as hell to do, but in the end you'll thank yourself for it. At first I was a "clock-watcher", and omg, did time ever pass so slowly that way! I would just recommend some mega vitamins- b-12, b-6, l-tyrosine, magnesium/calcium/zinc supplements and Weaver always promotes the EmergenC, and that fellow knows what he's talking about so I'd try that too. Also, protein shakes and Gatorade help. All this stuff seems like a lot to take, and may even be a little pricey, but most certainly worth the results. Good luck and keep pushin on!! :)
