Supposed to say, great post Ben
I find it hard to believe that in 2015, with the entire sum of human knowledge available on your phone, that people are mindlessly putting whatever their doctor gives them into their system. Subs do have a place for a certain profile of addict, and yes doctors do over-prescribe them to the wrong people, but I don't see how anyone can miss the fact that it's an opiate. Or be unable to do a little research. My opinion is that blaming the doctor is making excuses. There's an old expression: When you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail. So if you go to a sub doctor, don't be surprised if they prescribe you subs!
I agree with you for the most part. SUBOXONE has it's place but it's waaaay over prescribed by supposed Sub Doctors who don't have a grasp on how to prescribe and to whom.
I always go back to the fact that it's an opiate and although I don't have a personal experience, so many have talked about getting high on Sub. That's a problem along with staying on it for months and years.
I'm glad you got this off your chest!
I do not know your history I was talking about my history my addiction to food my addiction to cigarettes
so my opinion has no value because I'm still on suboxone that was kind of rude
My comparison was to addictions
