Stress,triggers, relapse

I had 50days under my belt then let living sober and catching up to what I blew off while I was high like college and a job overwhelm and stress me out and started abusing pills again. I feel disappointed in myself that's the longest I been sober in 7years, I can see myself slipping back into old habits. I have no support or anyone to talk to about it just seeing if I could find some support and encouragement here. Any pointers on how not to let this failure be final, how to keep striving for sobriety. How did you or someone you know bounce back from relapse?

Thanks. Today was a better day, I'm a split between narcos and OTC pills which are the worst of those two evils. 50 days was easy because I was in jail for almost half and I think I should have automatically started going to meetings and aftercare me trying to do it alone is the reason I relapsed.  Thank you all for the encouraging words I will defiantly take it in and put into practice.

I Smashley, me too, only I fell apart on my way out of Pill Hell. I was tapering & I let triggers get the best of me.
Are you doing any of your work with help from a MD? It's ok if you aren't there are so many fine people here to give you guidance & offer support.
I've been off & on all my life. Your 50 days is a great accomplishment
Now set a new goal.   Pamela

Hi Smashley. You will find lots of support and encouragement here. Stick around and keep posting. Most everyone I know, including myself, has relapsed. Unfortunately, it seems to be a part of the process. The good news is that you do not have to let this define you. Figure out what specifically triggered this relapse. Make some critical changes to avoid that. You really need to get into some sort of aftercare program if possible. Meetings such as AA or NA are wonderful for fellowship and support. Please consider that.

What are you taking, and how much per day? It's time to get back on the horse and begin again. We will help you!

Take care, and I wish you all the best!
