Welcome to the forum. I tapered off vics...you will still have wds, but they will be minimal compared to ct.....Get all your supplies together and get started... the good thing about a taper is you can still work , do whatever w/ you kids, do all your activites, but the bad thing is you are in some form of wd for a longer period of time....it's easier on your body, I think...but again...a long, slow burn......but i would do it again!!!

So Good luck and keep posting...we're here for you... YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Welcome to the forum. I was able to taper once and I didn't have to bad of withdrawals. The thing about tapering is it takes a lot of willpower. Usually if the pills are there we take them. Just get a good taper plan and stick to it. It would help if you had anyone to hold on to the pills for you and give them to you as needed. Another thing that helps so much is exercise. I didn't do anything too strenuous, just some long walks. It makes such a huge difference! Also, be sure to drink plenty of water to help flush the system. You have taken the first step to getting off these pills. You have to want to and you do! Just get a plan together, stay strong, and this will be in the past before you know it! If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. This is a wonderful forum and everyone is so helpful! I know I couldn't have done it with everyone on here. This is a great place for aftercare too. Hang in there and best of luck!
