Not so great day

I am on day 6 for being off Lortabs.  I was feeling good yesterday but I did not sleep last night and my body is so weak today.  My nanny called in sick too so I am taking care of my kiddos while I try and work.  This has been the hardest day for me since I am so tempted today.  Luckily my husband got rid of them all and cancelled all my refills.  Ugh I have so much to do today and no will to do any of it.  I felt so good yesterday too.  :/

I felt like that on my day # 6 (yesterday) & today I feel much better!! Each day I'm feeling a little better - in all kinds of different ways!!

When you're weak - just try & rest - eat good stuff & you'll feel bette soon!!

Are you taking any vitamins, supplements?

I'm so sorry you're having a rough day. I remember thinking that my recovery would be a steady incline of feeling better each day but, instead, it has been a series of highs and lows and good days and bad days. It will begin to even out and you'll see more good days than bad and you'll be able to handle the difficult times easier. You're doing great and remember to hold your clean time sacred!

I too have an addictive personality. I overdo everything. But I'm learning to control it, sort of (I'm in the process of losing weight - again).

Thanks guys! I am relieved to know it is normal to do that and that I am not alone. We move next week and yes I will be going into counseling and such. I would love to claimI am an addict to just this but I have an addictive personality and switch from one to the next. So I know I need help. First it was food. I was up to 300 pounds before I figured that out and lost all my weight. I am 134 pounds now since I switched my addiction to working out. I could not go a day without at least running but then moved here and got addicted to the pills which replaced my running. I am just plain an addict and need to get back to my healthy addictions.

Yes, Kyle505 could of not said it any better. I will not usually say how long it took me but I c/t 3 meds that hit the Brain & Nervous system up and down and all around. BUT I will say that the weak and the sleep stage is about the end until it all balances out and then you will have to deal with the emotional part as time goes on..It is all part of the Process.
Do you plan on getting any after care like Meetings???

Happy to hear that you don't have access to meds. Be absolutely sure that all sources are cut, especially because of days like this.
What you're experiencing is very, very normal. You will be on the recovery roller coaster for a while..."Wow, I feel great"  "Hey, what happened? I felt so good yesterday and nothing has changed????"  It took me about a week to catch on that, even after 15 - 20 days clean, I would still have major ups and downs, sprinkled with a little anxiety here and there. So, be kind to yourself; if you can put something off til tomorrow, then do so. If not, just buckle up and do what needs to be done. It gets better. You'll start having a lot more good days. That's a promise.
