how muchmore time?

i didn't sleep again last nite, maybe anhr from 9-10, woke up panicked (had taken ambien) and called my pharmacy to see if the script had been filled (even though i called my dr. and said i didn't wnat it anymore) it had been filled and my heart started to race, I couldn't sleep allnite (noting new) and cried when i woke up cuz i so badly needsome relief but do not want to go through this again. I called a friend where i used to live and she was very supportive (shesaid "you WILL be back at the same amt, you willnot be able to just take one here and there when you feel like this) she alsosaid i need to consider like i'm in rehab right now,not worry about the yard, cleaning, having the car tires rotated haha! cuz that's not as important as this. it reall y took a load off my shoulders. THIS ismy job right now. i'm just used to being productive and doing things, i need to just watch dumb tv show and movies w/ my son. sorry to rambel one, i'm just so lonely. you guys here are so great, i really mean it, you're all in my heart, Lori

HI Lori for me it was kinda weird I was on antidepressant wile on the methadone my phyc
dr treats me for bipolar disorder....when I first came off the methadone she had to take me off them because I was heading into a mania ...but then after 90days I was slipping into
a depression and the mania had subsided so she put me back on them...she is a great dr
for the most part I rarely notice any symptoms of bipolar im lucky they have found the right meds for me so the answer to your question is yes I take an antidepressant but only after
going without one for 90 days...she kinda wanted to give the methadone withdrawals a chance to run its coarse and for my bipolar to stabilize..dont be in a hurry to get on anything let the narcotics run them self  out of your system first...good luck and God bless...Gnarly

Hi Lori,

I was trying to taper but it's just way too easy to have a few more pills and feel better. I've given up on the taper simply because I am addicted to this stuff and the only proven route is cold turkey. I have been through w/d too many times to count so I know what is coming. Like you, I would take the physical side of it any day, the mental anguish that comes with it is the part that scares me the most. I have prepared myself about as much as I can. I've taken Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday of next week off, purchased several supplemental ingredients and medicinal aids, so I am about as ready as I'll ever be.

Keep posting and hang in there, you're doing great. Also, I'll need you healthy so you can support me next week!!

Take Care of yourself and post or PM me anytime!

thank you, are you doing a taper?  I take it you've gone thru w/d's b/4?  I'm sure you know about all the vitamins and supplements to get (ahead of time if possible!).  It's just the loneliest thing i've ever been through, need to lay down as i got a whole hour of sleep last nite!, get yourself prepared, then stay strong and keep posting!

HI Lori good to see you made it thew the weekend ....your doing it one day at a time
sometimes it 1 hr at a time but the main thing is your doing it....dont get the refill it will only drive you nuts with cravings if you have it in the house...each day even each hour
you make it your closer to the big prize sobriety....hang in there you can do this although
you might not see it yet your thew the worst of it just a few more days and you will start to see the light again...and no longer be chained to a pill bottle...I had a 10yr run on the pills
then 6 1/2 more years on the methadone...its no way to go thew life...I only wish I would have done something sooner about my addiction today im grateful to be fre of active addiction and do everything in my power to keep it that way...I just wanted to take a minute to encourage you to keep at it  and stand strong....you got to want it bad
but in the end it is so so worth it good luck and God bless.....Gnarly
