Hey hi, just saw your posting, read the responses and really can't add much more than what has already been said, and since I'm not a medical professional i really can't specifically/accurately address all of your prescription type questions.
With that being said, I would like to add that it is my understanding that Ambien can be addictive, to what degree I do not know, but certainly worth being mindful of. As such, I try to alternate my sleeping aids when used, not wanting to use the same stuff more than 2 nights in a row. Perhaps that might aggravate my sleep patterns, but at least I know that i won't become addicted to another med...at least that's my theory anyway.
-Best Wishes!
Thank you! Yes - comments from everyone are so appreciated. Thought I saw a post from last night by Victor322 re: tramadol and ambien, etc - I could have gotten the i.d. wrong - thanks for your response!
klonopin is faster acting than zanax or some of the others i believe..
as far as it being different from ambien, the ambien, lunesta's etc. are in a class called sleep hypnotics, and the benzo's are.. benzo's! personally, i'd rather take an ambien than and OTC sleeping pill so i don't have the "sleeping pill hangover." but, if you think you'll get addicted to it, then you might be better off with the OTC (altho.. that brings up an interesting question: i wonder how many people are addicted to the OTC sleep meds? i know i know a few..)
Klonopin is an anti-anxiety med that works like ativan or xanex. Tylenol PM would be less harmful than ambien as a sleep aid.
Hi Hun!
I have not seen Victor around in some time, I could be wrong, but I don't see him anywhere.
Would you like someone else, or several people to answer your questions?
