What do expect from here Day 3 of withdrawl from vicodin?

I have a chronic pain condition and my doctor has been giving me vicodin for 3 years now. I was taking on average 3 a day of 7.5 vicodin. After years of me begging him to change my medication he finally switched me to Ultram. I have been taking that since Saturday with my last Vicodin being Friday evening. I also have an anxiety disorder so I take Xanax for that. I have been taking the one 50mg of Ultram in the morning and .5mg of Xanax at night. I have been told over and over again to not go cold turkey from the Vic. But I am sick and tired of it ruling my life. I hate the stuff and I always have. I am so happy to be off of it that the idea of going on it just to ween my body seems silly to me.

So here is the question. What can expect from here? Is day 3 going to be bad? Is it going to get better? Should I take 1/2 a vicodin to help my body? I really dont want to but I dont want to do damage to my body either. Any help?

Seizures can happen anytime with ultram.  Usually it is a higher dose but it does happen.  That is why we say to be very careful with these meds and to never just quit cold turkey.

Ok now I am worried about the ultram. When would the seizures start if I was going to have them. I only take one 50mg tablet a day.

you can go cold turkey without damaging your body...you will just feel icky for a few days...I don't know much about Ultram but you may not even experience w/d from the vics.

be careful of the Ultram too though...

Well since you are takin the ultram now you shouldnt be real uncomfortable.  Please do your homework on ultram tho.  That drug comes with its own set of problems and that is one drug you dont just stop taking.  Drink plenty of fluids and if you become achy take warm baths or showers.  Let us know how you are doing...sara
