I don't know how long you were taking them or the amount but if you need medical help you should always call your dr or go to the er.

Marleycatlike, I am on day 9 it gets a lot better take lots of hot baths, bananas are great for the potassium, stay hydrated and Tylenol and Motrin can help a little as well. I personally love the heating pad for leg cramps. Keep going you will get through this...and Pray, it works

I feel you completely on the dr. frustration.  I got the same kind of letter and my previous dr. cut me off completely with no taper plan and won't even return my phone calls.  You can go cold turkey on the opiates, but I'm on Xanax as well and that's dangerous to stop suddenly.  She canx my last script and I've been tapering way too fast to make it until I see a new dr. which thank God is today.  I've been honest w/ the new dr and am hoping she'll put me on a slow humane taper.  I know we are responsible for our addictions, but there needs to be some accountability for the drs. especially when they cut you off completely from something you are not supposed to stop suddenly.  Sorry for the rant, but I've been so pisssed off.  
Stay strong; we are here for you.  Each day gets better.  We can do this together!!

Tell me about it. Then, I called them (pain management) for a withdrawal cocktail (whatever that is..but the msg says you can ask for one..since the answering machine won't let you talk to a real person).. and some bozo called me back and asked me how many pills I have left & when I told him, he said he could not call one in until I was out! That's bull! They won't even give me emergency care after 30 days, and who knows when they wrote the letter...

I'm so proud of you and congrats on the 14 hrs!!! My symptoms started literally on hr 3 so the first day was a tough one!!,
Try to for as many walks If u can, it will help with the restlessness and try find a tv series to watch to get your mind off things.
Melatonin also helps me a bit, the first 3 days I got no sleep, but by day 4 I slept 3 hrs thanks to melatonin.

Great info that has been posted so far.  It isn't easy no doubt and the 1st week especially the first few days can be rough. Each person is different depending on DOC and how long you were using.  You mention you can't sit still. I couldn't move, getting out of bed was like running a marathon.  

Keep posting.  I've found people are here 24x7 if you need support or want to just *****.

This time is tough...without a doubt. But you have to think of it this way, you didn't get into this situation overnight and you can't get over it in that time frame either. I know that ***** to read but it's the truth. You need to really focus on what you want with your life now... And you have to really work for it. You are dealing with a tough time now but if you really want that sober life..it takes work and dedication. You can do it...many here have and we can help you when you need it.  Good luck to you.... This is completely worth it... Don't give up....

Oh, one of the best things I was told was to cut my sources- easier for me since my dr cut me off completely.

Congratulations on starting your journey and welcome.  Check out the Thomas recipe on here.  It helps with the WD.  There's no getting around the WD, God knows we all wish there was!!!
Keep posting and sharing.  This site is full of wonderful supportive people who understand exactly how you feel.  We are here for you.  Complain, vent, whatever you need.  This site has become my life line.  
I'm on day 15 off opiates and it's still a struggle, but I get a little better each day.  Stay strong; you deserve a better life; we all do.

Hang in there Marley.  STAY HYDRATED !   that is very important. gatorade or coconut juice,pedialyte or all 3.  How old are you ? Do you have any pills in your posession ? Just wondering . It's tough I know but you can do it.
