Withdraw signs from narcodics

Hey! I am having a really rough time right now. I was on a small amount of Prozac for about 8 months but I began to have very bad lower abdomen pain and I decided to stop taking the Prozac just to ensure that it was not the cause. During the process of going to the doctor to get my lower abdomen pain diagnoses I was give Vicoden. I started to want more and more everyday and I would even want to drink a beer while using. Then I went to the urgent to care to have some tests done on my side and the ER doctor prescribed me percocet. Now I know that I am addicted. I think that I am having withdraws because my lips will tingle, I will get very cold and I get a pounding headache. I am scared and I do not know what I need to do. I have mentioned it to my husband but he kinda blew the whole thing off. It is beginning to affect my career because I am now going through withdraws at work which make me very irritated.

Please Help!

Have you asked your doctor to help u with this taper?  I am not sure aboput tapering proxzaac but have heard that if u have been on ADs for a while it is best to taper off of them...4 months of narcotic use is not long and it is a good time to get off while the getting is good...xanax is a drug u need to taper off of..many kick the narcotic then deal with the other dugs afterward

I'm sorry that you are going through this, I am in the same boat as you right now.  Do you have some of the percocets available for you to taper with?  If so, you need to figure out a taper, and slowly come out of it to avoid withdrawals.  Although, alot of people in this forum seem to go cold turkey and have great outcomes.  If you need to stay at work and can't take time off, you need a slow taper and would do better if you got your doctor involved so that he could prescribe you a lower dosage each time and check in.  Good luck!

I am just getting extremely aggitated at this point. I have been on narcodics now for over 4 months, daily but I am also on prozac, and  prn xanax. I am weaning myself off of the prozac but I usually do so by taking a xanax, percocet or drinking. I am in avicious cycle...it really *****. I am so flippin tired on everything. I do not even feel like this is my life....
