Thanks, and I know I will definitely NOT go cold turkey. I never even thought about it really. I've been doing great on the methadone program, I've gotten my life all straightened out mostly, I go to college, bought a car and will be working this summer so I do not want to relapse after working so hard to get out of that scene.
I really still want to get off the methadone but not if its going to risk anything with my baby. I just hope I can still wean off the methadone while pregnant, maybe I'll just have to do a slower taper? I hope..
Thanks for the support :)
Hi Jewlsy. Welcome to the forum.. first Congratulations on the babe :) You have done a fine job with your taper. before you go further please speak with your nurse as sara said. It could be very dangerous for your babe to cold turkey. let the professionals guide you. as long as you are upfront and honest with them they will have the knowledge on how best to go about keeping you and your baby safe. You have done nothing wrong.in fact you are being very responsible. so enjoy this time and and let the professionals guide you. lesa
Talk to your nurse when you see her. Dont go ct as that is dangerous for you and the baby. Let us know what is going on. sara
