Its That Time! April 2015 Roll Call!!
Well...Its that time. Its time for the April Roll Call. I was debating to even do it this month since only 27 did last month. We used to have 80+ Anyways....its all good. Whether there are 27 or 127, the show must go on. So...this is where you post your clean time or just introduce yourself. It doesn't matter if you have 20 years clean or 20 hours clean....we would love to hear about it. Even if your still using....we would still love to meet you. Let us know your out there.
I guess I will start. I'm ABN....Ive managed to put together 5 years 2 months and a day together. One of the key things to my successful recovery is I remain teachable. A lot of addicts/alcoholics get a few years under their belt and think they know it all...got to remain teachable.
25 days clean after 15 to20 years tied to opiates! Yeah for me and for everyone fighting with me.

Soooo.....to start off.....hope everyone is having a great Good Friday....and has a wonderful Easter weekend!
Well, I'm still clean and it's now been 458 days....a little over 15 months of learning, struggling, good days and bad. But I would NOT change 1 single bad day I've had clean for even my best days high. There a weight that has been lifted off of my shoulders....I don't have to be so damn mad all the time. Not sure if any of ya'll can relate to that but I always had a frown, was always in drama mode, and took everything in my gut! It's not like that today....good days and bad....life on life's terms.....still learning.....

I'm right behind Evan at 5 years clean this month...I could never have done it alone, so please everyone, utilize an aftercare program of some kind.

Nice Post ABN!! I love it! You got that right. Staying TEACHABLE is very important. I have learned so much in the past yrs and also remain to gain more & more knowledge and support. It all has changed so much since I started this journey back on Sept 2012, and will continue to do so..I Love U Man & I miss U...lol

133 days clean off of oxycodone. Couldn't have got this far with out some of the people on this site (jifmoc,MsD,bubulous,Sarah,refills,neveragain) just to name a few. And of course most importantly aftercare,I'd have never made it w/o the help of actually seeking help. In my 4 months here,Everyday I see so many new ppl come on here. Some stay for a day some stay for a week,some even a month. But they're not even a handful of ppl left from when I started. Mostly because these ppl refused to try after care. I just pray every day they will be back here and have decided it didn't work their way and will give aftercare a shot.

Just shy of 7 yrs here and i have always said i am and always will be a work in progress. I focus on the journey, not the destination. Aftercare has been vital for me as using was just a symptom of what was really going on inside this head of mine. I have to work my recovery the moment my feet hit the floor everyday. I have had some very painful things go on in my life the last few months and i am so grateful i am in recovery as i am not sure i would of made it thru. My actions will speak louder than words in the end.

66 days off of oxy and 8 days off of sub... Feel great physically just working on the mental! Good job everyone!

Im going in and out of a very dark period at the moment, head wise.
Really hoping it ends soon.

869 days clean off opiates!! so 2 years and almost 5 months....congrats everyone on your clean time!! Happy Easter!
I love this post most of all during the month! It is so good and encouraging to read about everyone's success!!! I have 118 days off of opiates and 187 off of alcohol. I am also quitting smoking starting on Tuesday...so hopefully next month I will have some time off of the darn nicotine as well!!! I just finished the steps with my sponsor and all I can say is WOW! Its such a simple program and it works if you work it!! Doing step 4 and 5 was such a release of all that anger and resentment...it was a sense of freedom that I have never known before!!! So I encourage everyone to get involved in aftercare!!! It is amazing how it changes your life!!

Damn if I always miss everything. Well I am 34 days off the oxy's. I am feeling better and I just know deep down that it will stick this time because I am not in so much pain after the surgery.
ABN, I am so glad that you drop by every month or so to do this roll call. Come by more often, don't be a stranger dontchaknow. Hope all is well in your world.
