The longer you stay on the sub the worse the withdrawal is going to be. Its strong. Most Dr.s know nothing about it and some go as far as telling their patients there will be NO withdrawal at all. They haven't a clue. The w.d is a nightmare. I am NOT at all trying to scare you. If you went through methadone w.d, then you can do this as it is not that bad. Its worst then certain opiates though. You can do it. Just take as little as you can, just enough to get through the day. Try not to stay on it longer then a couple weeks and then wean off when you decide to stop. Get down to taking shavings of the sub. Its that strong, that even shavings will keep you from going into bad w.d. So get down to as little as you can, don't take to long, stock up on thomas recipe, ask your dr for something for restless leg syndrome as well as anxiety and depression, drink plenty of water, exercise and you will be good. It can be done, so do it.
Good luck, Lisa
I don't know anything about the withdrawals (yet). I do know subutex does come in a generic. Suboxone does not have a generic as of yet :)
