finally off the sub

Hi all-ive been quiet-trying to white knuckle getting off the suboxone..i am now clean of opiates/sub-and its been hard..
im hot/cold-tired..emotional-couldn't eat yesterday-or much at all this week. Now the work begins-staying free of opiates.I tapered to crumbs-a few times till-i no longer had any access to them-i can no longer have this crutch-
And it was for me-I still believe it is a great med for detox- maitainence for long term users/of hard opiates-
But the reality-is that if you use it longer than 2/3 weeks you will now have to deal w/ the repercussions of the sub-
I know as i did long term for 2 years-and then had 2 yrs clean of all poppy products-after i finished the program..
Relapse really took me for a ride as im older/can't bounce back-
Just want to thank all of you that sent your prayers/notes-
if you need anything-in terms of sub info-or need to chat-say hello..
peace and freedom to all-
alice

This is great to hear, congrats on doing this, it's never easy but worth it for sure. How long have you been off sub now? Remember aftercare is so important to stay clean and I know you will. You have done great, and it will continue to get better. I don't know a lot about sub, just wanted to wish you luck.
