Many people make there on personal cocktail to make it through the first week but ( COKE) not a good choice it will only give your the result you got ..NOTHING so if you want to really come clean pick a day get a plan to take some time off get some vitamins and lots of liquids and get started quitting I wish you the best because the H is a killer.
I agree. I did heroin withdrawal. The first week isn't easy but you can do it. Drink slot of fluids. Not alcohol. But anything else that helps. I wouldn't have made it without my Mountain Dew. I know people say stay away from caffeine and sugar but honestly you can't detox from everything at once. Hard candy bc my mouth was always watering. Drove me crazy. Ibuprofen for any headache. And lots of clean shirts bc you'll be sweating through them the first week. Tight long warm socks too. And all the vitamins - calcium magnesium zinc vit Bs. Look at the Thomas recipe for help with that. But the calcium & magnesium help the most.
Get Epsom salts for hot baths. Take hot showers too. Helps with the RLS. A heating pad helps too with the leg or arm pain. If you don't have an electric or super comfy warm blanket, get one. I was always freezing. And try to move as much as you can. Exercise helps. Sleep as much as possible too. It helps heal the body.
I remember 2 weeks after all of a sudden I felt awesome.first 7 days was the worst. Next 5-7 I just had a raw stomach as I called it. You can get through this. You'll need to go to meetings for continued support. If you don't work on your brain everyday you'll fall back into your addict thinking. Gotta get rid of the contacts friends dealers. Make a clean break. Surround yourself with people who love and support you. Who can help with the skills needed to stay clean.
Good luck. You can do this.
Hey there!
Great to see you posting and reaching out. You help more people than you can possibly know.
I know that the withdrawal from H is awful, but let me give you a heads up: it is way easier and shorter than methadone withdrawal. Unless you have serious underlying health issues (for which you should see a doctor before going any further) do yourself a favor and just bite the bullet. Get some Imodium, some gator aide and some Popsicles. You'll feel roughest between hours 48 and 72, but if you hang in there, that will be the worst of it. It may seem endless, but I promis you it isn't.
Avoid the subs unless there is no other way—if you can just hang in there, you're going to start feeling much better very soon.
As had as it may be to believe right now, the physical discomfort of withdrawal is the easy part! It will soon begin to subside, and you will need to treat the underlying spiritual and emotional malaise that lead you to using in the first place. Are you lucky enough to live in a big city? If so, make it your top priority after not using (no matter what) to get to a meeting of whichever twelve step fellowship you prefer. During mm last detox, I hit a meeting every day during lunch and then again in the evening. It totally saved my life, and for the first time ever, I didn't feel like an Alvin visitor from another world. Amazing.

How are you feeling right now?
Hi girl, I'm a bit concerned about you. If you are on subs, then there won't be any heroin withdrawal. I sure hope you are not shooting up the cocaine. Anyway you are making a speed ball with the coke and Xanax and that is very dangerous. It could kill you. How long have you been on the subs?
Hi, Irish. Welcome.
You are trying to take a bunch of different things out of desperation. Xanax and coke? You know that's insane, right?
Honestly, are you looking to be free of this? How long have you been on H? Are you willing and able to cut your contacts and not have access to any? Are you willing to go through withdrawl? (No escaping that, even w/ subs.) Are you willing to go thru discomfort to be free? That's what it will take.
Let us know where you are exactly and more about you.
