After quitting opiates will I need to get on anti depressants or bi-polar meds?

I am bi-polar and have depression issues. I am wondering when I get off the opiates, if I will need to take other medication to even out my mood. I usually take the norcos to cover up my mood swings and I am afraid that when I quit, I will be a mess!

yes you absolutely need to be in therapy see a psychiatrist and will need to be stabilized with a bi-polar medication and most likely an anti-depressant...Abilify is a newer medication that has proven to be effective and work well for many with bi-polar disorder and depression..but right with the norcos you are just self medicating your problems, i was doing the same, I was using Heroin or oxycontin to escape my daily stresses, but with your mental disorders it is definitely extremely serious and you will need to be in therapy while you get off the norcos in order to balance out your mood and mental state...

I know how u r feeling. I was on prozac before vicodins and the vics did what the prozac did for me. I new i had high anxity before I was on vics so I new I would need them after. I started prozac on my 4th day clean, I am 21 days now, I know they have helped me and I couldnt of done it without them. So most likely you will need them, good for u on getting clean, you can do it!
